Description

The Device Manager shows you information about all connected terminal devices and system components. If one of your devices does not work, you can update the driver manually via the Device Manager, and you can also check the correct connection of the terminal devices.

There are different ways of opening the Device Manager in Windows. The most common procedures can be found in the following section.

Solution

Device Manager via Windows keyboard shortcut

Right click the Start button or press the Windows logo + X key combination on the keyboard.
Now select the device manager to start it.

Device Manager via Windows search field

Enter “Device Manager” in the search field next to the Start button on the taskbar (to open with the Windows key or with a left click) and then press Enter

Device Manager via control panel

Open the Control Panel via Explorer. To do this, open any folder and select the Control Panel via the drop-down menu.
In the Control Panel, select the Hardware and Sound item and open the Device Manager.

Device Manager via settings

Click on the Windows logo or alternatively press the Windows key on your keyboard.
Open Settings and search for “Device Manager” in the field. From here you can open the Device Manager directly.
